Meet Lisa - Care Partner at Better Day!

Lisa+at+Pleasantries

Lisa Bazarian Gardner has been with us at Pleasantries and Better Day for more than eight years and always says how it’s an absolute pleasure to work here, and we completely share in that sentiment in having her here! Lisa is a natural when it comes to caregiving and it’s the close relationship she had with her grandparents that inspired her to enter our field.

After graduation with a Marketing degree from Westfield State University, Lisa went on to work as a Legislative Aid at the Massachusetts State House for 10 years before ultimately choosing to turn her passion for caregiving into a career. Growing up close with her grandparents, Lisa always found herself drawn to the older generation- intrigued by their stories and life experiences. This was her inspiration in coming to work at Pleasantries.

As a care partner at Better Day, Lisa is instrumental in keeping our household running smoothly, infusing us with new ideas and keeping us connected with the greater community as a whole. She is always up for field trips, taking our guests on armchair travels or telling jokes. Lisa’s experience in working with people living with dementia enables her to strike the golden balance between providing mental stimulation, offering opportunities for friendly sports competition and always being a nurturing presence when spending the day with our guests

Lisa is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and recently completed her Ageless Grace Brain Health Program training as well, now able to help us lead our morning workouts with our guests! With a warmth and compassion for helping those around her, Lisa cherishes the bonds she creates with our guests and their loved ones, and the mutual positive impacts they can have on each other. Lisa, we are so lucky to have you with us at Better Day!
